It is a play performed by Saga's class before Sugar found her Twinkle, appearing to take place sometime after the Bear Pianist story arc, and before the last story arc in the series (key indicators being that Sugar's magic flower still only had two buds, which occurred at the end of episode 13, and Saga was already familiar with the Hammond Theater Troupe). The now 15-year-old Saga reminisces about this play in the Summer Special (episodes 25 and 26) after her grandmother Regina finds her old costume in their attic. The young Season Fairy apprentices were inspired by it and performed their own little version of it for Saga and the adult fairies to see.
The play was written by Anne. Greta was originally going to ask to play as the Princess until Saga accidentally got the role herself. Phil, Alan, and Jan somehow convinced Greta to play as the witch instead.
